Overview

The Sony SNC-RZ30N combines a high quality picture, a versatile PTZ mechanism, and a sleek design to provide the ultimate viewing experience for today's remote monitoring environments. Its 340° motorized pan function translates into a virtual all-around view of the camera while its powerful 25x optical zoom permits close-up viewing of important details. And thanks to its embedded web-based server - image viewing, camera control, and menu setup can all be done from any Internet PC without the need to install any specialized software. All these functions serve to complement the camera's excellent image quality generated by an advanced CCD imaging chip. This together with the camera's 30 FPS frame rate and M-JPEG compression method ensure you'll get consistently sharp, detailed images and very smooth viewing of moving objects. The SNC-RZ30N PTZ camera also employs a unique Day/Night function to enhance picture brightness during nighttime hours. You'll also appreciate the camera's two built-in PC card slots, giving you the ability to store thousands of images right on the camera. By having an on-board DVR you're also assured of continuous image recording during network downtime. You can also install one of Sony's wireless cards in one of the card slots and that way turn the camera into a full featured wireless network camera. Sony also supplied the camera with a standard BNC video output so you can use it with conventional analog equipment at the same time video is being streamed over the network. This not only offers compatibility with a mixed analog/digital environment but is also yet another feature for keeping the camera operational during a network failure.
