Description
Overview
The Sony SNC-RZ25N is a network PTZ camera with Day/Night sensitivity and motion detector function. It is ideally suited for web-casting and remote monitoring applications such as surveillance in public places, factories, supermarkets, airports, street surveillance in big towns or small. The camera also has a motion detector that can trigger your video recorder, log events or sound an audible alarm. The SNC-RZ25 was designed to supply high quality images for security and communications for web casters or anyone who desires to monitor critical areas remotely. The camera can stream MPEG4 images over networks with limited bandwidth. It can stream JPEG images over high volume networks. The 18x optical zoom lens provides the ability to close in on important images over the network also. Moving the camera is as easy as clicking on the panorama image. The camera can be used in brightly lit and dark environments. As a scene darkens the infrared cut filter is automatically replaced with a clear filter and the camera switches to black and white mode requiring less than 0.01 Lux. In color mode the camera requires only 0.7 Lux lighting. The camera uses MPEG-4 compression format to achieve high compression ratios without sacrificing image quality. If higher quality still images are preferred then JPEG compression format can be selected from the setup menu. The PTZ camera supports both ITU-T G.711 and G.726 audio compression standards. The camera has a mini-jack for a microphone input and another for audio Line Out for speakers. The camera comes ready for expansion with a CF card slot so you can store additional images as required. The slot can be used to install a wireless network card as well.
