The NSR-500 is Sony's 16-channel full-HD network surveillance recording server delivering an excellent cost-performance ration. Grow your system’s connection capability. The NSR-500 connects to up to 16 network cameras, which you can extend to 24 with the optional NSBK-CL05, as your requirements change. Get the storage that you need. The NSR-500 features a maximum of 12TB of hard disk drive capacity, which means that you can record more than 300 hours of high quality Full HD images compressed at 4Mbps with a frame rate of 30 fps. The NSR-500’s hard disk storage units are configured with high redundancy and hot-swappable RAID technology, to protect your vital video information from disk failure 24 hours a day. You can choose from RAID 1 (1+0), RAID 5 or RAID 5 + Hot Spare. No need for complex installation procedures. The NSR-500 automatically detects cameras on the network, and a dedicated setup wizard defines the parameters for each in a straightforward step-by-step manner. Start monitoring instantly. Images from the cameras are assigned automatically to a monitor layout menu, so that you can be safer sooner. The NSR-500 can use H.264, MPEG-4 and JPEG for high quality recording and maximum compatibility with other equipment. Enhance your system as your needs grow.
