Plextor's 40X CD-ROM drive is the first drive which offers maximum 40 speed in full CAV with an Ultra SCSI Interface. The UltraPleX 40max mechanism is based on the full CAV technology, which improves the access time and increases the data transfer rate far above standards. The UltraPleX 40max offers an amazing 6000KB/sec data transfer rate and a 85ms access time. This will increase both multi-user and multi-tasking performance. The buffer of 512KB further enhances the CD-ROM drive's efficiency and reduces CPU utilization. The UltraPleX 40max is compatible with all major operating systems and CD-ROM formats. The UltraPlex 40max allows the reading of CD TEXT information as provided on the latest Audio CD's. All packages include a multi-lingual manual and the Plextor Manager™software. Plextor Manager™ provides many valuable utilities including audio capture and disc duplication. This multimedia machine is the state-of-the-art performance standard for video, graphic database and document imaging applications running from CD-ROM, including the latest virtual reality and interactive multimedia tools.
