The dual Intel 82576 Gb NIC I/O module provides four additional 1 Gbit external Ethernet connections. The Quad Port Gb Ethernet I/O module provides a SPI serial EEPROM to store configuration and informational data. This includes pre-boot configuration data, MAC address, and serial numbers for the 82576.
