The Battery Backup Unit is an add-on module that provides power to the RAID Controller's cache memory in the event of a power failure
The Battery Backup Unit monitors the write back cache on the RAID Controller and provides power to the cache memory if it contains data not yet written to the hard drives when a power failure occurs
Compatible with all ARC11xx, ARC12xx (except ARC1200/ARC1202) and ARC168x controllers. 
Will back up cache memory for up to 72 hrs in case of disk failure or power outage.
