Overview |
|
The 3Com 100 Secure Fiber-FX NIC is designed for Windows 2000 or XP environments that require end-to-end security and high-performance transmissions. This revolutionary 100BASE-FX NIC combines the signal quality and throughput of Fast Ethernet over fiber, the data security of IPSec encryption, and the network and system security of 3Com Embedded Firewall. Fiber cabling is ideal for locations where electrical interference is a problem or for time-sensitive transmissions, such as voice and video. The NIC's integrated security processor takes over key processing tasks, reducing the load imposed on the CPU. Intelligent management features help improve network performance, reduce administration time, and lower support costs. This NIC will be supported by upcoming versions of 3Com. |
