The 900GB Savvio 10K.6 2.5" Internal Hard Drive from Seagate allows you to securely store 900GB of data. This drive spins at a speed of 10,000 rpm and is built with 64MB of cache memory that offers quicker access to your data. It connects to a system via a SAS interface, which transfers data to your system at a rate of 6 Gb/s. To protect your files, this drive encrypts and decrypts all the data. Overall system performance is not affected since encryption is done on the drive and your files are safe if the drive is lost or stolen. FIPS 140-2 standard ensures the drive is equipped with physical locks or tamper-evident seals and uses sound security practices such as strong encryption algorithms and methods. In addition, role-based authentication is required to use the drive.
