Juniper Ethernet Universal Physical Interface Modules (UPIMs) are a set of common Ethernet interface modules that are shared between the Juniper Networks Secure Services Gateway 140, 520, 520M, 550, 550M, J4350 and J6350. These modules implement the full set of layer 3-7 services offered in the ScreenOS and JUNOS operating systems and alternatively implement Ethernet switching for connecting local servers and PCs to the network.
